Meet Heather Hanson
Heather is certified in Holistic Nutritional Therapy, Fitness Nutrition, GAPS (Gut and Psychology, Gut and Physiology Syndromes), Personal Training, Therapeutic Lifestyle Coaching, and is a Registered Medical Assistant.
She has over 16 years of experience in the medical field, where she has been driven to find the root causes of symptoms, using a variety of investigational tools such as extensive questionnaires, food journals, body composition analysis, and comprehensive laboratory testing.
Heather explores the body’s nutritional deficiencies and addresses those weaknesses through diet, supplementation, stress management, exercise and other lifestyle changes including removing environmental toxicity. She believes in eating real, traditional, nourishing and whole foods to support optimal health.
Heather offers personalized nutrition plans, education and counseling based on the specific needs of the individual. She recognizes that each person has a unique history which is often reflected in the sickness or health of the body. She seeks to empower individuals to live healthier and more vibrant lives through proper nutrition. Her goal is to provide an environment where areas of need can be well supported and where each person will have the opportunity to experience their best potential for optimal health.
Background: Heather grew up in Western Pennsylvania and moved to Colorado Springs, Co, at the age of 18, to attend Pikes Peak Institute and study Medical Assisting. In 2001, she found her perfect home in Austin, TX and began working in a Family Practice office. She spent the next 13 years developing and implementing strategies to create an office environment with a strong focus on wellness.

Family: Heather, her husband, and youngest son reside in Old Town Pflugerville, where she enjoys renovating their 113 year-old house and entertaining family and friends. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, kayaking, listening to live music, reading, continuing education and competing in activities including Tough Mudders, full, and half-marathons.
