Physicians

David Sneed, DO FAAFP

Dr. David Sneed has been a Family Physician in Austin since 1985. Prior to this, he served and trained in the United States Navy and served domestically and abroad as a naval physician. Dr. Sneed is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. and is active in numerous professional organizations, including the Texas Medical Association (TMA) and the Travis County Medical Association (TCMA). Additionally, he is a past Chairman of the Board of South Austin Hospital and currently serves on the physician advisory board of the Lakeway Regional Medical Hospital.

Andrew M. Dale, M.D.

My passion for science and medicine was kindled as a young boy, flipping through the pages of our family’s set of Encyclopedias, fascinated by the transparencies that showed the inner layered anatomy of the human body, page by page. Later, after my mother had gone back to school to get her nursing degree, I would travel with her on Home Health visits, immediately gaining a respect for the level of kindness and compassion that she brought to her work as a caretaker and its clear impact on the well-being of those patients.

Lisa Dawn, PA-C

Lisa graduated from The University of Texas Science Center San Antonio as one of the first classes of physician assistant students that helped to pilot UTHSCSA’s PA program.

Charisse Soller APRN, CNS- BC

Charisse is a Board Certified Advance Practice Nurse. She received her Bachelor’s in Nursing Degree from the
University of Texas at Austin and completed her Master’s degree at San Angelo State University in 2010. Ever since then she has worked in the field of weight loss and wellness.

Dietician

Heather Hanson

Heather is certified in Holistic Nutritional Therapy, Fitness Nutrition, GAPS (Gut and Psychology, Gut and Physiology Syndromes), Personal Training, Therapeutic Lifestyle Coaching, and is a Registered Medical Assistant.

Rehabilitation Medicine

Dr. John Cybulski

John Cybulski, DC is a graduate of Texas Chiropractic College in Houston, Texas. The 3-year program in Houston included extensive hours of lecture and lab. The program was followed by four board certification exams which included topics from general anatomy, spinal anatomy, physiology, neuromuscular diagnosis, orthopedic diagnosis, and diagnostic imaging.

Business Development and Wellness Coordinator

Sharon M. Sneed, PhD

A graduate of Texas Woman’s University, Sharon M. Sneed went on to complete her Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of California at Berkeley. She has been a college professor at four universities and is the author of seven books as well as numerous lay and peer-reviewed articles.

Front Office Staff

Arlinda Ahiante, MA

Arlinda Ahiante has over 22 years experience in the medical field and 15 years as a medical assistant. She resides in Kyle, Texas, born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in Pensacola, Florida. She moved to Austin in 1985. She studied to become a medical assistant at Austin Community College. She is also a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her responsibilities are to assist the doctors in the proper care of our patients.

Arlinda, in her spare time, teaches Sunday school, enjoys family time, and plays Bunko with her friends. She also enjoys being a foodie and trying out new eateries with friends.

Kimberly Chase | Front Office Supervisor

Kim has over 14 years of experience in the medical field and has resided in Texas her entire life. Her responsibilities entail coordinating referrals for our patients amongst doctors and staff while providing a pleasant experience for new and returning patients.

Kim is passionate about her career at Austin Family Medicine Associates and loves helping people every single day. Her vast knowledge, experience and strong communications make her a true asset to the AFMA family.

Alma Castellanoa, MA

Alma Castellanoa has worked at Austin Family Medicine for several years. She originally started out as the office’s phlebotomist, and she is now the leading medical assistant. She has many responsibilities. She assists with patient care and flow throughout the office. She helps carry out any healthcare provider orders, and she ensures that your visit is smooth and comfortable. She assists with most major procedures, and she is our leading technician involved with Stem Cell Therapy. Alma will also assist with nursing phone calls and questions. She will facilitate any concerns or questions to the healthcare provider. Alma understands the entire office flow, and she is able to fill in wherever she is needed. You may even catch her checking you in!

Alma is friendly and always laughing. She does an excellent job of coordinating care and making you feel at home in our office.

Juanita Martinez | Billing

Juanita Martinez has over 10 years experience in the medical administrative field. She resides in Austin, Texas and loves everything about Austin. Juanita works in the Billing Department. She will assist you with any billing questions that may arise. She is responsible for making sure that your insurance claims are processed correctly and efficiently. She ensures that you will not get any unexpected bills.

Juanita is passionate about her career at Austin Family Medicine Associates and loves helping people every single day. In Juanita’s spare time, she enjoys running, bike riding, and any other outdoor activities.
