Austin Family Medicine has made it a priority to keep urgent care Austin walk in services available in our office. No appointment needed! We understand that illness and injury don’t always allow for the convenience of time or long-term symptoms. Our commitment to our patients extends to these immediate times of need. Please read below for more information about when urgent care is appropriate and the benefits of visiting your regular clinic instead of a busy emergency room.
Possible Care for Urgent Care Austin Walk In Cases
If you are unsure of how or whether an urgent case needs to be treated, call us or an emergency number immediately. Our staff can offer minor surgery in the cases of lacerations, orthopedic, and burn injuries. We also offer detection for a variety of rapid onset illnesses, such as urinary tract infections, the strep virus, and flu. We are equipped with EKG heart analysis and can provide pulmonary testing and blood draws. A full x-ray facility is in close proximity. Some medicine will be available on site, and we can call, write, or fax in any prescriptions we deem necessary. We are also available after hours and can accommodate next day appointments for less serious illness or injuries.

Our urgent care walk in functions as an alternative to a hospital emergency room for less extreme illnesses and injuries. Some of the benefits of visiting our office over an emergency room include convenience, affordability, and comfort. Most insurance forms are accepted. Walk-ins are welcome during business hours. We also encourage patients to call in advance, even if it is just a few minutes before you arrive Our goal is to be prepared for your arrival whenever possible.
